Welcome

Welcome :)

Thanks. :)
While you are here, I'd like to have your opinion on uploading images to this Wiki. Okay or takes too much space/bandwith? -- EoF
Go for it. More Stars! pics are always good...most pages are bland due to being largely copied from Stars!FAQ...the Supernova/MT/AHClient pages are original...I have a bunch of supernova ones and crisium.com/SBDelta pics I'm very slowly organising to put up. I assume you've looked at my user page...non-stars pics in a limited way Gible 14:27, 6 February 2009 (NZDT)
PS 4 tildes(~) works for sigs Icon wink.gif
PPS Image uploading seems to be not working...I'm working on it fixed. Gible 14:41, 6 February 2009 (NZDT)
Thank you. I'm a little rusty with Wiki edition, but I'm sure it will come back soon enough. :)
What about image standard? I was thinking about using full resolution .jpg, but I could also use less interesting compressed .jpg or .png --Eagle of Fire 14:54, 6 February 2009 (NZDT)
I like my web to be fast, and while I'm not stuck on dialup like some, even broadband in nz isn't very fast, so png would be my general choice for screengrab type stuff(things with hard edges) otherwise jpg. Uncompressed images should probably be converted, but otherwise I usually just upload the ones I stole ;) Gible 16:46, 6 February 2009 (NZDT)
I made tests before uploading the new pictures and .jpg were very easily way smaller than .png. There is some times in which .jpg are vastly supperior to .png, but I must agree that I usualy use .png myself. --Eagle of Fire 17:09, 6 February 2009 (NZDT)
jpg can't really handle areas of exactly one colour or the hard edges between them tho - they always end up mottley Gible 18:06, 6 February 2009 (NZDT)
I just did an experiment... Given exactly the same image of the fuel mizer, the new version of the program I use take up about half the space... Time to upgrade. :) --Eagle of Fire 05:13, 7 February 2009 (NZDT)

Time tag?

Why is my time stamp 6 hours early? ??? --Eagle of Fire 17:14, 6 February 2009 (NZDT)
NZDT Gible 18:04, 6 February 2009 (NZDT)
That does not quite answer my question. The Wiki knows my offset and knows my current time very well. Should it not show me my current time? I am pretty sure that it does on a normal wiki. --Eagle of Fire 18:42, 6 February 2009 (NZDT)
Yeah, I dunno then. Icon biggrin.gif Gible 10:58, 7 February 2009 (NZDT)
I find it strange also, especially since I can't see this behavior anywhere else. It works fine in the recent changes page. --Eagle of Fire 11:44, 7 February 2009 (NZDT)

New pages

What do you think about those new pages I've done? Any comments/suggestions? --Eagle of Fire 11:44, 7 February 2009 (NZDT)
