Duelling Championships: 2004 | 2005 | 2006 | 2007 | 2008 & 2009 | 2010 | 2011

This article describes events that are still happening.

Calls by players for the 2008 champs began in June[1] and when the then administrator Mazda failed to materialise(his computer died), a coup was proposed and settled by Ron's appointment of ccmaster as temp new Dueling Club admin and moderator.[2] ccmaster then organised the champs and play finally began in September. Because of the late start, the 2008 champs were also notable for other reasons:

  1. During the initial call, some players wanted to allow the entry of non-ranked players.
  2. After (1) several new (to dueling) players were very quickly played and defeated by ccmaster using the monster HE that he almost won the 2005 champs with and -f HE were banned from the champs.
  3. Players were seeded by timezone rather than formula to facilitate faster play.
  4. Play continued throughout 2009
