PBEM = Play By EMail
PBEM in Stars!
- Select a player to be the host, and decide on the game setup
- Players all design their races
- Players email their race files to the host
- Host generates the game
- Host emails each player their turn file (***)
- Players load the turn file, then send their orders files back to the host
- Host generates the next turn - back to ***
Note that most current games are played on Autohost rather than by email. The only significant exceptions are dual games, which are still often played by email.
